The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) released their 2011-2012 Team Academic Awards, this week, naming the Patriot Women’s Soccer Team to the academic honor role.

In order to be named to the Team Academic Award list, a squad must qualify with at least a 3.0 total grade point average. Coach Michelle Lenard‘s club produced a 3.35 team GPA in 2011-2012, earning the honor for the third consecutive season.

Overall, 717 teams across college soccer were named to the Academic Award List. Of those, 220 men’s teams and 497 women’s teams received the honor.

The Patriots concluded a highly successful 2012 campaign, last week, after winning a share of the Heartland Regular Season Title and an outright Tournament Title, the team’s first. They will return the majority of their core players in 2013.
