Lee Wayne Pool passed away at his home in Duncanville, TX, on August 3, 1940.  He was born August 3, 1940, in Jacksonville, TX, to Lawrence Pool and Edith (Martin) Pool.

He and Marsha Kay (Williams) Pool were married on June 22, 1968. They resided in Duncanville, TX, for the last 41 years.  As Wayne walked through this life, he demonstrated that he was: tender – as he faithfully served in the Children’s Ministry of his church for over 25 years; rugged – as he was an avid outdoorsman who loved exploring, fishing, and hunting from East Texas through Colorado and beyond; courageous – as he was a volunteer fireman in his youth, was attached to the firefighting arm of the U.S. Army during his young adulthood, and was a retired Lieutenant with the Garland, Texas, Fire Department, serving for over 36 years, during which time he performed many heroic deeds; devoted – as he gave, without hesitation, love, time and resources to family and friends; valiant – as he steadfastly fought a brave battle against cancer and heart disease during the last years of his life.
