Wanda Faye Hutson Shipman October 1, 1935 – December 2, 2017

Wanda Faye Hutson Shipman, 82, of Midlothian, TX, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Waxahachie, TX. Wanda was born October 1, 1935, in Garland, TX, the daughter of Leila Belle and Erastus Wilborn Hutson.

Wanda was united in marriage to Dewey “Allen” Shipman in 1956. She was an honorary member of First Presbyterian Church Dallas for over 30 years and attended First Presbyterian Church Duncanville for many years. Wanda was a wonderful helpmate to her husband in faithfully running Shipman Tire & Auto Service in Duncanville, TX, for 35 years. She had a passion for family, especially for her grandkids that will cherish her in their memories long after she is gone. Her sassy sense of humor, blended with such generosity and kindness, made her truly one of a kind. Wanda was a loving wife, proud Mom and Nana. She was one that you would always see smiling, with her door open even to strangers. She is dearly loved and will be missed by many.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Onice Harrison, Eldon Hutson, Maurine Bickle, Jack Hutson, James “Buck” Hutson and Inez Woodruff. Thanks to faith in Christ, she now joins them in Heaven along with her loving husband, Allen Shipman.

Wanda is survived by her two children, Lori Glover and Lynn Shipman, and five grandchildren, Taylor, Ross, Charlie, Madison, and Chase. 

Visitation with the family is 6-8 PM, Friday, December 8, 2017, at Jaynes Memorial Chapel. 

Funeral services are 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 9, 2017, at First Presbyterian Church, Duncanville, TX, 75116. 

Graveside services are 2:30 PM, Saturday, December 9, 2017, at Nancy Smith Cemetery, Glen Rose, TX.
