Vote for Preferred Duncanville ISD District Calendar

Duncanville ISD Informer – Draft calendars have been created by the district’s Calendar Planning Committee, and now we’d like to hear from you! Use the link below to vote for your preferred 2018-2019 district calendar. Because the Board of Trustees approved Duncanville ISD as a District of Innovation, we have more flexibility with our calendar. With this adjusted schedule, our last day of school will come before June and could allow us to finish before Memorial Day weekend.

As with any transition, we will have to make some sacrifices on the front end to enjoy positive change. During the 2017-2018 school year, classes started the final Monday of August. That also forced us to have uneven semesters and one long grading period. Next year students and staff will start much sooner. The goal with this calendar planning was to have more equal semesters and be finished prior to Memorial Day weekend.

Staff members must sign in to vote.
