sellmanVirginia Jane Greer Sellman, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015, in Dallas, TX. Funeral Home – Jaynes Memorial Chapel, 811 S. Cockrell Hill Rd, Duncanville, TX, 75137.

Small Memorial Service at the Overlook at Joe Pool 10:30am, Saturday, October 10th.

Catholic Memorial Mass will be held at 6 pm Friday October 9, 2015 at St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church, 2910 Corn Valley Road, Grand prairie, Texas 75052.

Virginia was born April 6th, 1933 in Notus, Idaho to Ova Amos and Elzora Ruby Greer. She was married in 1950 and for 30 years to Jack C. Sellman M.D. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her sister Jean Greer Johnson and husband David of Boise, Idaho, and four daughters Gloria Lynne Sellman M,D. of Birmingham, AL, Joi Sellman Mairet of Duncanville, Hollis Mills Sellman and wife Shannon Mills Sellman of Dallas, and Kimberly Greer Sellman Sharpe and husband William of Albany, GA. Grandchildren: Nathaniel Sellman Curiel, Natalie Greer Beckwith Curiel, Joshua Randal Pogue, Mariah Aline Mairet, Stella Mills Sellman, and William Hunter Sharpe II.

Virginia loved her children, grandchildren and her animals. She enjoyed Country music and dancing, and was an intuitive & exceptional cook. She had an infectious and loving personality and was dedicated and hard working her entire life. Virginia taught her daughters the meaning of kindness and how to love. She taught them how to cope and how to laugh in times of personal distress and suffering, helping them grow into strong independent women. She will be so greatly missed and the memories she left behind, cherished.
