LITTLE ROCK, Ark.—The UALR women’s basketball team signs Morgan Bolton to the 2012-13 signing class today. The Duncanville, Texas-native averaged 6.4 points, two assists, and 2.6 steals during her junior campaign.
“Morgan is a very good point guard and very quick,” said UALR head coach Joe Foley. “We feel like she is an Asriel Rolfe type with the same body build, same quickness, and same intensity. I feel like she will be a very good point guard for us.”
Bolton, a 5-6 guard, has played on the varsity squad since her freshman season and has led Duncanville High School, the second largest high school in the country, at point guard since her sophomore year.
An all-district and academic all-district honoree, Bolton was named District 5A Most Valuable Defensive Player. Her sophomore campaign, she led Duncanville to a 33-4 record.
This summer, Bolton was featured twice in ESPN Hoopgurlz as one of the nation’s most gifted passers.
