The Foster Kidd Foundation Hosts Kick-Off for Annual Fundraising Weekend, Announces BMW North America as Title Sponsor

DALLAS – April 26, 2018 – The Foster Kidd Foundation announced today they will host a kick-off VIP reception on Thursday, May 3, for its annual fundraising weekend. The charity weekend takes place June 29 through July 2 and will benefit Paul Quinn College and The First Tee of Greater Dallas. Ron Kirk, former U.S trade representative, is this year’s Honorary Chair for the Foundation Charity Events.

The kick off on May 3 will bring together community, nonprofit and higher education leaders, plus event sponsors to gear up for the big charity weekend. Speakers include title sponsor Kevin Williams, Multicultural Marketing Executive for BMW North America and community honoree Dr. Cheryl Jackson, Founder of Minnie’s Food Pantry (recent recipient of a substantial financial gift from Oprah Winfrey) Many fun events and activities are lined up for the charity weekend including a gala, jazz brunch, entertainment and the popular scramble golf tournament held at the Trinity Forest Gold Club (new home of the AT&T Byron Nelson Golf Tournament).

Media representatives are invited to the reception to learn more about the Foundation’s impact in supporting local community and nonprofit organizations, junior golf programs and providing financial assistance to college students.
