Texas Sword Begins for Young Northwood University Knights

CEDAR HILL, Texas–Northwood University will host numerous Sword Orientations for incoming freshmen and their parents throughout the summer. Participants may choose which orientation is convenient for them to attend. The dates are July 13, July 27 and August 17.

The purpose of freshman orientation is to give the incoming students the opportunity to meet other students, administration including Northwood Texas President, Dr. Kevin Fegan and faculty on a more personal basis. This provides an opportunity to address questions and concerns they may have and to establish personal relationships. At orientation, the students will receive their student ID cards and will be able to register for classes.

“This year we have some exciting events for our new Knights as well as parents.  This past Friday we hosted our first Sword, with over 43 new students in attendance, we are looking forward to the next one,” said Abby Babbitt, Director of Leadership and Character Development.

Both students and their parents will have the opportunity to take a tour of Northwood University’s Texas campus. Students will become familiar with student life, academics and administrative buildings. Parents will also learn of all the resources that Northwood has to offer.

The fall new student move-in day will be August 24, followed by the first day of classes which is set for Monday, August 27.
