Sarah Gray shared her thoughts, “On the women’s side, this was a match for us to continue to practice our strengths as well as take some risks and practice our weaknesses.  Since we have a strong record against Howard Payne on the women’s side, I challenged our girls to try shots that they normally wouldn’t do in a pressure situation.  It was great to see them implement that!  For the men, this marked our third win and we left with more confidence than we had prior to the match.  Nathan Wilson stepped up with an impressive doubles performance with Bradley Hilliard at No. 2 doubles, and Ty McAllister won in two sets at No. 6 singles.  The effort, enthusiasm and intensity was apparent on every court.  The two teams continue to impress me with their work ethic, relentless and on court maturity.”

Both teams will return to the court on March 8 as they play host to fellow Heartland Conference team UT-Permian Basin. Matches are set to begin at 3:00 pm at Kiest Tennis Facility.
