The DHS Sparklers and Partner PE students participated in the Eleventh Annual March for Respect on Saturday, March 23.

Each year thousands participate in the 1.5-mile parade walk through the West End in downtown Dallas. The goal of the event is to bring awareness  and respect for the rights and needs of those with developmental disabilities.

Activities for families began at 9:00 am, and the parade began at 11:00 am.

The March for Respect is a one and a half mile walk through downtown Dallas created to show all Texans with developmental disabilities that they are not alone, they can achieve and that there’s a whole city of people who care for them greatly.

The March for Respect makes a difference.
