Seniors Can Get Help With Tax Preparation

tax_formsThe Duncanville Public Library and the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) can help! Starting on February 3rd, the AARP will have certified tax preparers at the library to do the hard work for you every Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

The last Wednesday to get your taxes done is April the 13th. This is a very popular service; it is recommended that you arrive before 10:00 a.m. in order to put your name on the sign up list.

That’s not the only way to get tax help at the library. If you need a specific IRS form, just come in and ask at the Information Desk. We can’t offer you any advice, but we can almost always find the form you need.

But wait! There’s more! We also have several tax preparing guides that will help if you’re preparing your own taxes. Most can be checked out, but we do keep a couple in Reference. That means there’ll always be at least one here to make copies. As always, prints and copies are just 10 cents a page.
