boydRosella Ann Cope Boyd departed this life on December 2, 2015 after a short illness. Ann was born September 24, 1937.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Russel M. Cope and Loretta Valentine Cope.

Ann is survived by her two daughters, Dawn Gold of Cedar Hill and Kim Griffin and husband Greg of Crossville, TN. Also, her sister Jayne Cope Kincaid and husband Jim, of Naples, FL, brother L.D. Walker and wife Anne of Colorado. Grandchildren Ryan Griffin of Weatherford, Brenna Griffin and fiancé Joe, along with many cousins and friends and her very special Life Group from church.

Ann was a member of the Duncanville Church of Christ for many years where she was very involved in the Lords work. She had a very special place in her heart for those incarcerated—here in the metroplex and was also involved in the prison system for women in Nicaragua. Ann helped to serve many Thanksgiving blessing meals to the Duncanville community, prepared funeral dishes, served in the back to school give away, was co-coordinator for the Nicaragua Shoe box ministry, sent money to help build houses, churches and Pre-schools in Nicaragua, and sponsored many many children through Christian Relief Fund in the Nicaragua Pre-schools. While Ann was not a traveler she sponsored many people to spread the Lords word to the people of Nicaragua. She helped fundraise for Nicaragua activities one year by helping make and sell tamales and pastries. She helped church members sew and decorate little dresses and shorts for children in Nicaragua. Ann was about the work of the Lord.

jaynesWhile Ann will be missed here on earth; she has already found her place in the house of the Lord praising him forever and ever.
