cherryRonnie Cherry, born March 3, 1960 in Sherman Texas to Vyron and Dana Cherry. Died August 20, 2016 at home, peacefully in Midlothian Texas. Ronny has left the absolute love of his life way too soon. Lisa Gayle Cherry was Ronny’s soul mate and the happiest years of his life were spent by her side.

Ronny is survived by his children Shawna & Jared Kalisz of Trophy Club, Texas, Zachary Cherry and family of Midlothian, Texas and Carly Cherry and family of Sherman, Texas and two step daughters Trisha Sloan Bechard and family, and Elysia Gail Sloan. He is survived by his loving parents, Vyron B. and Dana Cherry of Howe, Texas. He also leaves behind a loving sister, Leah Cherry and her husband Chris Boatwright and several nieces and nephews. He was blessed with many grandchildren: Justin Rowe of Trophy Club, Jared Rowe of Trophy Club, Courtnie Cherry of Midlothian, Collin Cherry of Midlothian and Macie Kalisz of Trophy Club and Arynn Bolden of Sherman, Texas.

Ronny grew up in Duncanville, Texas and he never really wandered too far away from there.
Those roots run deep, as evident by the friends and family that have been with us, through this journey. He spent his youth there racing motorcycles and cars, and he never knew a stranger. He spent his teenage years, well into adulthood working at Byrons Auto Supply. He spent hours and hours at that shop in the machine shop. He loved his job. He taught us to work hard. And he expected us to do it at young age, just as he did. He worked hard his whole life. He gave 100% all the time. Sick days accumulated, they were never used. He never got sick. He never gave up. He was never lazy.

Ronny later settled in Midlothian with Lisa Gayle and he was never happier. Ronny found his soul mate when he married Lisa. She was his angel, and now he is hers. He is watching over us all. The heavens gained an angel, although our hearts are breaking. We need not understand his purpose, only his love. Ronny was a believer in Christ. We can take comfort in knowing he is spending eternity up above. Donations may be made to Gray Matters % Ronnie Cherry @ 1608 Falcon, DeSoto,TX 75115
