CangeloseAt the age of 94, Pearl Cangelose died peacefully at home, August 14, 2015, in the arms of her daughters.

She is preceded in death by her father, Paul DeMottier, and her mother, Tannie (Nigliazzo) DeMottier; her brothers, Don, Lee, John, Sam, and Jack; one sister, Lena Arcotta; her husband, Sam T. Cangelose; and son-in-law, Steven M. Irwin.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she is survived by her daughters, Mary Jo Irwin and Tina Cangelose; grandchildren, Marcy Irwin Stotler and her husband Dana, Jason Irwin & Damon Irwin; great-granddaughters, Lauren & Lexi Stotler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pearl was born in Caldwell, Texas. She married the love of her life on December 26, 1943, while Sam was serving in the Air Force. After Sam returned from the war, they started in the grocery business with Pearl working side by side and being a full-time mother.

Pearl was a beautiful woman inside and out, who loved her family and always enjoyed having them around. She enjoyed all kinds of crafts and made a beautiful home for her family. As one brother-in-law would say, “You could eat off Pearl’s floors”.

jaynesFuneral services are 12:30 pm, Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at Jaynes.

Burial will follow in DFW National Cemetery.

Visitation with the family is 6-8 pm, Tuesday, at Jaynes, with the Rosary beginning at 7:00 pm.
