The Dallas Baptist Patriots Basketball Team (8-15, 4-6) was defeated on Saturday afternoon by the Oklahoma Christian Eagles (15-8), by the score of 76-66.

Trailing 28-36 at the half, and shooting 35.5 percent from the field, the Patriots looked to the three ball to help crawl back in the game, but the Eagle offense overpowered the DBU defense to shoot 47.3 percent from the floor.  Uncharacteristic poor shooting from the foul line by DBU in the second half, 11-16 (68.8 percent), gave Oklahoma the opening they needed to put the game out of reach.

Nick Fox led the Patriots on the offensive side of the ball in the loss with his fourth straight game with 20 or more points.  Fox finished with 25 points on 10-of-25 from the field while connecting on 2-of-5 from behind the arc.  He also added five total rebounds in 30 minutes of play.  Jonathan Perry added 15 points and pulled down 8 rebounds.

The Patriots are back in action on the court Thursday, February 21, as they travel to San Antonio, Texas, to face the St. Mary’s University Rattlers (16-6, 8-4).  Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
