As rainy conditions washed out Monday’s scheduled rounds of competition, the Men’s Golf Team was limited to only one round of play on Tuesday at Wichita Falls Country Club in Wichita Falls, Texas.

The Patriots fired a team score of 311 to finish in a tie for 11th place with three other schools.  Senior Brandon Johnson carded a team best 76(+5) to finish in a tie for 21st place individually.

“We struggled out there a bit today in the wet conditions,” shared Head Golf Coach Kenny Trapp.”  The Patriots finished just 11 shots back of a top-three finish and just seven shots out of a top-five finish.

Other Patriots contributing to Tuesday’s score of 311 was Freshman Luke Thacker, who fired a 77(+6) to finish in a tie for 30th place.  Both Sophomore Charles Gibson and Junior Austin Struble carded rounds of 79(+8), good enough for a 55th place finish.  Freshman Jamie Youree recorded an 83(+12), to finish tied for 83rd place.

The Patriots will be back in action on April 2, as they travel to Edmond, Oklahoma to compete in the UCO Classic at Gaillardia Country Club.
