Patriot Men’s Soccer Team falls 3-0 to St. Edwards

Opening Heartland Conference play, Thursday, the Dallas Baptist Patriot Men’s Soccer Team dropped a 3-0 contest to visiting St. Edwards University. Both clubs move to 1-2-0 overall.

The Hilltoppers struck less than four minutes into the contest, when Daniel Riley scored on an assist from Andrew Fox. After a 40 minute lightning delay, SEU struck again at the 25 minute mark, with Andrew Fox knocking in a free kick from 25 yards. James Martin scored the final tally, with Riley on the assist.

For DBU, Chuck Schober (1-2-0) took the loss in goal, after registering a pair of saves. John Kaschak moved to 1-2-0 with the shutout for the Hilltoppers.

The DBU men will return to Patriot Field, Saturday, hosting non-conference foe, Eastern New Mexico University. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.
