The Dallas Baptist Patriot Women’s Soccer Team earned their third straight win, Thursday, battling the elements and pinning a 3-0 defeat on Oklahoma Christian University. The Patriots improve to 7-2-0 overall and will resume Heartland Conference play, Saturday.

Lindsey Eccles scored the first of the Patriot goals almost 26 minutes into the contest, her sixth goal, assisted byAshley Cox. Cox added the second score, just over 11 minutes later, an unassisted goal.

Lea Sedwick scored her team-leading eighth goal of the season with less than a minute left in the half, finishing a corner kick by Sara Boren.

“It rained all night last night and most of the day, so the field was really wet,” said Patriot Head Coach Michelle Lenard. “It was a good result, considering the field conditions.”

Kerry Edwards earned another shutout in goal, her fourth of the season, and the team’s third straight, registering one save to move to 7-2-0. Anna Walker allowed the three goals and earned 13 saves for Oklahoma Christian (1-6-0).
