Dallas Baptist University – The Dallas Baptist University Patriot Bass Fishing team finished in fifth, sixth, and 14th place on Bull Shoals Lake Saturday as a part of the Arkansas Collegiate Series fishing trail. After a strong outing at the first Arkansas Collegiate Series fishing trail in late August, the Patriot Bass Fishing team continues to experience success early in the 2016-2017 fishing season.
The Patriots battled adversity and bounced back after a few rough days of practice to place three teams in the top-15 out of the 30-boat field, respectively. “We were very pleased with our finish despite a tough couple of days of practice,” shared Junior Reed Foster. “We struggled to find a pattern and bite during practice so we are certainly grateful to God for the finish that we were able to come out of here with on Bull Shoals,” added Foster.
“It was quite tough out there but I was glad that we were able to net five fish and finish in the top-15 for the tournament,” shared freshman Ryan Wood. “We look forward to the rest of the season and will continue to work hard in our preparation for the tournaments ahead.”
