Patriot Bass Team Struggles at SFA Bucketmouth Bass Tournament

The Dallas Baptist Bass Fishing Team fished in Stephen F. Austin’s two-day tournament on Lake Sam Rayburn on Saturday and Sunday.  This was the Bass Team’s largest and strongest tournament field that they have competed against thus far since their start back in early November on the Arkansas River.

The Bass Team members that represented the Patriots this past weekend at Sam Rayburn were Freshman Trent Newman, Freshman Jacob Sepeda, Junior Trey Bledsoe, and Sophomore Clint Humphrey.

“This was a great test for our guys as some of the nation’s top teams were in the tournament field,” stated Assistant Director of Athletics and Bass Team Coach, Connor Smith.  “I think this was a great learning experience for our guys with diverse conditions, especially as we head in to the 2012 spring season,” noted Patriot Bass Team Advisor and Coach, Scott Darragh.

The Bass Team will fish a full tournament schedule on all existing collegiate circuits from January through June in 2012 as they look to place DBU on the map in the collegiate bass fishing arena.
