Panthers Wrap Up Season With 69-66 Victory Over Grand Prairie

With a playoff spot well secured, the Panthers managed to hold on to their lead in the closing minutes and downed the Grand Prairie Gophers 69-66 to keep their second place slot in 7-6A.

Grand Prairie kept it close all night long, trailing only 33-31 at the half. Duncanville and Grand Prairie matched point for point in the third, before the Panthers managed to outscore the Gophers by a point to take the 3-point victory.

Senior guard Tyler Watkins led Panther scorers with 22 points, followed by junior guard Jakobi Pearson, and senior guard Miles McDougal.

Top scorer for the Gophers was Donald Ghostone with 16 points, Dodie Wilson with 15 points, and Jaylin Posey with 11 points.

Duncanville now enters the playoffs as the second place team in District 7-6A.
