Panthers Take Bi-District Title – Pound Killeen Ellison 62-0

Duncanville – Duncanville dominated Killeen Ellison in all phases of the game on Friday night to claim the Bi-District title with a 62-0 victory at DHS Panther Stadium.

With special teams claiming the game’s first touchdown with Karien Howard returning a punt for 69-yards, two field goals by kicker Josh Delgado (21-yards and 35-yards), the offense totaling 590 yards and 525 yards of that coming on the ground, and the Panther defense holding Ellison to just 86 total yards and forcing four interceptions.



Along with Howard’s punt return, Duncanville scored on a pair of 7-yard runs by Keilon Elder 7-yard and a JaQuinden Jackson. The second quarter scoring was by Jackson on a 6-yard run and Elder with a 7-yard run and a 9-yard run. Josh Delgado was perfect on all five point after attempts to give Duncanville a 42-0 lead at the half.

Second half scoring was by Josh Delgado with a 21-yard field goal in the third and a 35-yard field goal in the fourth quarter. Duncanville also scored on a Trazon Connley 63-yard run in the third and a Tryston Smith 25-yard run in the fourth. Delgado was good on both of the point after attempts it the second half as well.

For the game the Panthers had 590 total yards, with 525 on the ground and the 65 yards passing. Killeen Ellison had 86 total yards, with 44 coming in the air and 42 yards on the ground.

Connley and Jackson both had time at quarterback, with Connley going 2-3 passing for 51-yards and Jackson 2-2 for 14 yards. Jackson was the leading rusher with 14 carries for 128 yards and 2 touchdowns, Elder had 109 yards on 12 carries and three touchdowns, and Connley ran 6 times for 100 yards and one touchdown. Smith also had his rushing touchdown and had 1 carry for 25-yards. All-in-all the Panthers had 16 players with carries for positive yards. Jamaal Hamilton had 2 catches for 49 yards to lead Duncanville receivers.

Ellison’s Ta’Von Gwynn was 5 of 19 for 41 yards and 3 interceptions. Breezion Spiller had 4 carries for 28 yards, and Khalil China had 2 catches for 20 yards.

Next up for Duncanville is the area round, and a game against Euless Trinity at AT&T Stadium at noon on Saturday, November 25.
