Panthers Playoff Action – Follow Live Online

The Duncanville Panthers and Euless Trinity Trojans will face off in Bi-District action on Friday night at Irving Schools Stadium at 7:30pm.

Duncanville enters the game with an overall record of 7 wins and 3 losses, compared to Trinity’s undefeated season record.

The only common opponent that the two teams have is Colleyville Heritage. The Panthers faced Heritage on August 26 at the Cotton Bowl. Heritage came out on top in that contest by a score of 28-21. Trinity faced Heritage on September 23 and won by a score of 38-35.

Leading the Panther offense is Senior Deandre Grimes with 1724 yards for the season on 123 completions and 204 attempts, with 22 touchdowns and only 5 interceptions. Grimes also has 720 yards rushing and 4 rushing touchdowns. Leading rusher on the team is Junior Jaquan Cole with 1189 yards on 149 attempts and 15 touchdowns. Cole is followed by Grimes and then Sophomore William Jackson with 457 yards on 63 carries and 2 touchdowns.   Leading the receiver corps is Senior Jeff Thomas with 785 yards, 15.4 yards per catch and 12 touchdowns. Senior Terry Cooper has 29 receptions, for 401 yards, 13.8 yards per catch with 5 touchdowns.

On defense, Junior defensive back Keenan Blair leads with 41 tackles and five assists. Junior defensive back Cordray Love has 33 tackles and 20 assists. Anchoring the defensive line is Senior defensive end Ghafona Iduwe with 19 tackles, 35 assists, with 10 sacks.

To close out the season, Duncanville defeated Cedar Hill 56-55 in overtime and the Panthers had over 540 yards of offense.

Trinity closed out the regular season by defeating Irving MacArthur 34-7.
