The Duncanville Panthers turned on the cruise control and coasted to a 80-53 win over Irving Nimitz on Tuesday night.
Nimitz sits in last place of district 7-6A with an 0-10 district record, while Duncanville is in second place with an 8-2 record and a 1 game lead over South Grand Prairie.
Eleven Panthers got in on the scoring action against the Vikings, with Miles McDougal’s 17 points leading the way. Also scoring in double-digits was Erik Talton with 13 points, and Dexter Johnson with 12 points.
Duncanville jumped out to a 7 point lead after the first period, and led 40-24 at the half. From that point on it was cruising to the 80-53 win.
Dustin Eke had 19 points for Nimitz, followed by Daevion Hopkins with 12 points in the contest.
The next game for the Panthers is Friday night against third place South Grand Prairie at 7:30 p.m. at the Duncanville High School campus.
