Panthers Blank Texans 48-0

Duncanville – Duncanville Panther sophomore Ja’Quinden Jackson made his mark on Duncanville Panther football, but more specifically on Arlington Sam Houston as the Panther’s blanked the Texans 48-0.

Jackson led all rushers with 114 yards on 14 carries, with 3 touchdowns. But, Jackson also led all receivers with 2 catches for 45 yards and he was 8-11 passing with 62 passing yards. Jackson’s touchdowns came on 7-yard carry, 47-yard run, and a 3-yard run.

The Panther’s totaled 372 total yards of offense, 133 yards passing and 239 yards rushing. Duncanville also did not turn the ball over and had only 6 penalties for 56 yards.

Trazon Connley was the leading quarterback for Duncanville, going 5-11 passing for 71 yards and one touchdown.

Also scoring rushing TD’s for Duncanville was Keilon Elder, Warren Callhoun, and Gabe Blanton. Connley’s lone touchdown pass was a 13-yarder to Jamaal Hamilton in the second quarter.

The leading passer for Arlington Sam Houston was Jacob Dollar, going 6-16 for only 25 yards and throwing one interception. No Sam Houston rusher gained more than 30 yards, with Owen Harris ran for 27 yards, Patrick Boulieu for 22 yards, and Raylin Coffield rushed for 11 yards.   Joshua Bolden was the leading Texan receivers with one catch for 17 yards.

In their final non-district game, the Panthers will take on Skyline next Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at Panther Stadium. Skyline (district 3-6A) comes into the game having defeated Jesuit 41-30 and losing to Mesquite Horn 59-27.
