Pantherettes defeat North Crowley 71-23, holding the Lady Panthers scoreless in the first period

With their final game before starting District 7-5A play the Pantherettes wanted to make a statement. Looking to make another run to the Austin State finals next spring, the Pantherettes continued to perfect their defense and used the opportunity to let the bench get into the action.

The Pantherette defense continued to dominate opponents as they held North Crowley scoreless in the first period while scoring 24 points of their own. The game was never in doubt from the first period on as the Pantherettes took a 34-11 lead into the half. The second half saw the Duncanville defense step up again as they held North Crowley to only 3 points in the third and 9 points in the fourth to defeat the Lady Panthers 71-23.

Eleven Pantherettes scored in the game with Senior Kiara Perry scoring 19 points, followed by Ariel Atkins with 17, Rosie Davis scored 7, Tasia Foman with 6, Chrineisha Davis had 5, both Shannon Franklin and Keyana Smith with 4, Antiona Robinson and Tamara Washington with 3, Destin Means had 2, and Madison Townly scored 1.

The Pantherettes travel to South Grand Prairie on Tuesday night to start 7-5A district action with a 7:30 tip-off, before hosting Mansfield Timberview on Friday, December 14th.
