Pantherettes Tackle the Tigers 84-14 – Get Ready for Cedar Hill Showdown

The Pantherettes took down the Lady Tigers 84-14 and now prepare for the Lady Longhorns of Cedar Hill on Friday night.

Duncanville had no trouble with Irving as they jumped out to a huge 35-4 lead after the first quarter and cruised the rest of the way in to take the 84-14 victory. The vaunted Pantherette defense did keep the Lady Tigers scoreless in the third quarter.

Eleven Pantherettes got in on the scoring, with Zarielle Green (24 points), Hannah Guster (12 points) and Kiyara Howard-Garza (10 points) were the double-digit scorers for Duncanville.

Mykah Austin (6 points), Mariana Moreno (5 points) and Courtney Wright (3 points) were the only players to score for Irving.

Next up for Duncanville is a home game against the Cedar Hill Lady Longhorns at 6 p.m. on Friday in the Sandra Meadows Arena.

The last time the Pantherettes squared off with Cedar Hill it resulted in Duncanville’s closest district win yet with Duncanville holding on to a take a 71-67 victory.

The Pantherettes will finish district action with the home game against Cedar Hill, home against Irving Nimitz, at South Grand Prairie and the season finale against DeSoto.
