Pantherettes Open Sandra Meadows Tournament With A Win

The Pantherettes took on the Pirates from Wylie High School in the opening game in the arena at the 62nd Annual Sandra Meadows Tournament and walked away with a 68-27 victory.

The first quarter started off slowly, but by the time it was finished Duncanville held a 18-6 lead.

their patented Pantherette defense, Duncanville shut down Wylie by holding them to single digits in every quarter but the second. The Pirates managed 11 points in the second, but Duncanville held them to a single point in the final period.

All Pantherettes except for Tasia Foman and Madison Townley got in on the scoring action in the opening game. Kiara Perry, Foman, Destiny Means, Antoina Robinson, and Keyana Smith didn’t see action in the final period.

Duncanville takes on Denton Ryan in the 7:30PM game Thursday night in the Sandra Meadows arena.
