Pantherettes Fall to Fayetteville in Sandra Meadows Semi-Final 67-60

#1 Duncanville to face #2 Euless Trinity for third place

The Pantherettes never seemed to get on track as they faced the Fayetteville Lady Bulldogs in the tournament semi-finals, ultimately dropping their second game of the season 67-60.

Duncanville 35-31 at the half, mounted a comeback in the third quarter to tie the game at 51-51 going after three, but could not hold on as the Bulldogs outscored the Pantherettes 16-9 in the final stanza.

Zarielle Green led Duncanville with 22 points, followed by Lauryn Bowie with 14 points. Sasha Goforth had 14 points to lead Fayetteville, with Ashley Breathit contributing 13 in the win.

Duncanville, ranked #1 in Texas 6A by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches will face #2 Euless Trinity at 6 p.m. in the Sandra Meadows Arena for third place.

The championship game will immediately follow and will feature two out of state teams, McEachern High School from Powder Springs, Georgia and the Fayetteville High School from Fayetteville, Arkansas.
