Pantherettes Down Midlothian Lady Panthers 59-28

The Pantherettes extended their season record to 19-0 with a 59-28 win over the Lady Panthers of Midlothian High School This also extends their 7-5A district record to 3-0. The only district 7 with no district losses is Cedar Hill, who Duncanville plays Friday night.

ettes_at_midlo_001The Pantherettes saw every member of the team get into scoring action, with Ariel Atkins leading the way with 13 points, Tasia Foman had 12 points, and Kiara Perry and Antoina Robinson contributed 10 points each.

The Pantherettes took the opening tip, and Foman knocked down a 3-pointer to start the game, and the Pantherettes never looked back.

When the first period ended the Pantherettes had a 9 point lead, at the half it was extended to 15 points, and by the end of the third it was extended to 28 points.

Duncanville held Midlothian to single digit scoring in the first, second, and third periods.

The leading scorer for the Lady Panthers of Midlothian was Karrington Slaydon with 11 points.

The Pantherettes remain the top team in the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches 5A rankings, and USA Today still lists the Pantherettes as the #2 team in the nation.
