The Westbury Christian Lady Wildcats came into the game against Duncanville outmanned and outgunned, as the Pantherettes dominated the Lady Wildcats 84-33.
With only six active players on the Westbury roster, the Lady Wildcats faced a daunting challenge with the aggressive and speed-driven game of the Pantherettes. At the end of the first period the Pantherettes held a 27-9 lead, and extended that to a 48-14 lead at the half. By the time the third period was over, Duncanville was up 71-22.
Zarielle Green and Nina Alvarez led Duncanville scoring with 19 points each. Lauren Bowie with 13 points and Krislyn March with 10 points rounded out the double-digit scorers.
Marissa Banfield led the scoring for the Lady Wildcats with 12 points, while Emer Nichols contributed 10 points in the losing cause.
Duncanville will face Fayetteville (Arkansas) on Friday morning at 10:30 a.m., with the winner advancing to the finals to face either Euless Trinity or McEachern (Power Springs, Georgia) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday evening.
