Pantherettes Dominate Lady Vikings 87-25

As the Pantherettes wind down regular season play, they continue to dominate 7-6A, currently undefeated in district action and holding a three game lead within the district over South Grand Prairie. Duncanville continued that domination on Tuesday night with an 87-25 win over the Lady Vikings of Irving Nimitz.

Duncanville jumped out to an early lead and held a 30-3 lead after the first period and a 46-7 lead at half. The Pantherettes continued to dominate both ends of the court and wrapped up the game with the 62-point final margin of victory.

Leading the way for Duncanville was junior forward Starr Jacobs with 23 points, followed by 20 points for freshman post Hannah Gusters and 14 points from junior guard Zarielle Green.

Nimitz’s Leah Crowe led Lady Viking scorers with 9 points.

Duncanville has two games remaining in regular season, a home game on Friday night at 6 p.m. against South Grand Prairie and an away game at DeSoto. SGP sits in second place within the district and DeSoto is in fourth place, with Irving MacArthur within striking distance for the final playoff spot.
