Pantherettes Continue Win Streak – Take Down Lady Longhorns 76-33

The Duncanville Pantherettes continued their roll through 7-6A as they defeated the Cedar Hill Lady Longhorns 76-33 last Friday night.

Cedar Hill managed to keep the score close through the first period, trailing Duncanville 17-13, but the Pantherette defense tightened for the remainder of the game and the Duncanville offense pulled away for the 43-point victory.

Leading the way for the Pantherettes was Zarielle Green with 22 points, followed by Starr Jacob’s 19 points and Lauryn Bowie’s 10 points.

The only Lady Longhorn in double-digits was Shaleigha Langston with 12 points.

The Pantherettes face the Lady Vikings of Irving Nimitz on Tuesday night at 6 p.m. in Irving. Nimitz is 6-13 on their season and 2-8 in district play.

On Friday night Duncanville will host South Grand Prairie at Sandra Meadows Arena at 6 p.m. in their next to last regular season game.

The Pantherettes are currenlty ranked #1 in Texas UIL 6A by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Top 25. Also in the top 25 from 7-6A is South Grand Prairie at #25.
