The Pantherettes continued their march to the postseason with a 10-point victory over the Cedar Hill Lady Longhorns on Friday night.

Cedar Hill started strong, holding a 15-12 lead after the first quarter, but both the Duncanville defense and offense roared back to life in the second. The Pantherettes outscored the Lady Longhorns 24-12 in the second to take a 36-27 lead into halftime.

In the third quarter the scoring slowed considerably when both teams combined for only 15 points, but the final period saw Duncanville pull away to take the 56-46 win.

Leading the way once again for the Pantherettes was Tennessee commit Zarielle Green with 24 points. Also scoring in double-digits was Sophomore standout Hanna Gusters with 16 points.

Cedar Hill was led by Junior guard Taylor Hutchins with 13 points.

With three games remaining in the regular season, Duncanville holds a commanding lead on the 7-6A district championship. However, they have big games coming up against South Grand Prairie and DeSoto after Tuesday’s home  game against the winless Irving Nimitz Lady Vikings.
