The latest Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) poll was released on Monday, and both the Pantherettes and Panthers find themselves at, or near, the top of the Texas UIL 5A rankings.

The Panthers (12-1) are currently ranked third behind Fort Bend Travis (4-0) and San Antonio Brandeis (12-0). The Panthers loss came in the finals of the Mansfield Spring Creek Classic Tournament where the Panthers lost to Mansfield Timberview 57-55. Timberview is currently ranked fourteenth in the TABC polls.

At the Spring Creek Classic the Panthers defeated Allen 44-42, Mansfield Legacy 46-26, Mansfield Summit 52-44, before falling to Timberview.

The Panthers will take on Coppell in a home game this Tuesday at 7:30pm, following the Pantherette game.

The Panthers start district action on December 18 when they travel to Midlothian for a 7:30 game.

The Pantherettes are still ranked #1 in the TABC polls with a 14-0 record after winning the Collin County Roundball Classic. The Collin County tournament is the second tournament the Pantherettes have won this year as they bid to repeat as 5A State Champions.

The Pantherettes will take on a traveling Australian team on Tuesday evening at 6:30pm at the Sandra Meadows arena and will start district action on December 11 against South Grand Prairie in an away game.
