Duncanville ISD Athletic Director Cathy Self-Morgan confirmed that Panther Varsity Basketball Coach Eric McDade will be leaving Duncanville and his intentions are to coach within the Carroll Independent School District.

Carroll ISD Athletic Director Kevin Ozee had no statement on McDade and advised that they would not have a statement until after their school board meeting this coming Monday.

McDade went 66-35-0 during his time at Duncanville, from 2009 thru 2012. This year the Panthers defeated Irving Nimitz in bi-district play, before losing to Flower Mound Marcus in UIL area. Flower Mound Marcus went on to win the 5A state championship.

Prior to Duncanville, he was the head coach at Mansfield Timberview and Crowley High School. In addition, Coach McDade coached on the college level at Concordia and was an assistant on the high school level at Round Rock McNeil, A&M Consolidated, and Cleburne.

There are several coaches rumored to be in the running to replace McDade, but Self-Morgan says that there is nothing official at this time.
