PACE Graduates Seven

Seven students were recognized as new Duncanville ISD alumni in a commencement ceremony held at Mary E Smithey PACE Learning Center on February 23. Friends and family celebrated Brianna Barber, Jenette Brooks, Lonniekia Brown, Miguel Castro, Ricky Daniels, Joshua Howard, and Stephanie Ugalde as they received their diplomas from principal Keith Butcher. Coming to PACE at the beginning of the 2011-12 school year, Brianna Barber earned an impressive nine full credits to reach graduate status. In May, she’ll join the class of 2012 at the Dallas Convention Center and participate in Duncanville High School commencement exercises. Brianna has aspirations to continue her education, attending college to complete her basic coursework. She then plans to enlist in the United States military.

Jenette Brooks enrolled at PACE in December 2010, where she earned 20 full credits to reach graduate status. In May, Jenette will also join the class of 2012 and participate in Duncanville High School commencement exercises. She is looking forward to continuing her education at El Centro Community College, studying nursing with a specialization in trauma care.

Lonniekia Brown began attending PACE this past August. While there, she worked hard to earn an impressive 14 full credits to reach graduate status. Lonniekia will participate in the Duncanville High School 2012 commencement exercises in May. She plans to attend Texas State University to study pediatric nursing or travel to Atlanta to attend a trade school.

Coming to PACE in November 2011, Miguel Castro obtained his final two credits. He plans to continue his education by attending college.

Ricky Daniels enrolled at PACE in August 2010, where he worked hard to earn 15 credits. He now plans to enlist in the United States Navy.

Josh Howard also began attending PACE in August 2010. While there, he obtained his final 10.5 full credits to reach graduation status. Josh has aspirations to continue his education and pursue interests in communications and broadcasting.

Stephanie Ugalde has been at PACE just a short while, enrolling this past January. While there, she worked steadily to earn her final three credits. In May, Stephanie will join the class of 2012 and participate in the Duncanville High School commencement exercises. Afterwards, she plans to enlist in the United States Navy.
