The honors continue to pour in for the Dallas Baptist Patriot Women’s Soccer Team, as the NCAA announced the 2012 Daktronics Division II All-South Central Region Teams, as nominated and voted by the region sports information directors.

Four Patriots were named to the South Central Region First Team, the highest total of any team in the region. Senior Andrea Hutchins is joined by Heartland Offensive Player of the Year, Danielle Presley, and sophomores Lea Sedwick and Kerry Edwards.

Hutchins, Sedwick, and Edwards are repeat winners of All-Region honors, with Presley earning the honor for the first time, after leading the Patriots with 19 goals in 21 games.

Leslie Briggs of West Texas A&M was named South Central Region Player of the Year. Region Champ Colorado School of Mines had the highest total of players named to either the first or second team with six. No.2 seed St. Edward’s had two players each on the first and second team.

All four of the Patriots’ first team selections will now be nominated for All-American honors, which will be announced Wednesday, Nov. 28.
