Duncanville Panther Football


Football – Adam Butler
Adam Butler is a Vanderbilt Commodore signee located in Nashville, Tennessee. He is a 2 year starter at Offensive Tackle and 1st Team All District in 2010 & 2011. Adam was also a member of the Academic All-District team in 2011 and was voted Outstanding Offensive Lineman by his peers. He was also named Varsity Team Captain for 2011.

 

Football – Jamaal Fears
Jamaal Fears is an Alabama State University Hornet signee located in Montgomery, Alabama. Jamaal is a 3 year Varsity player at Defensive Tackle.

 

Football – Ghafona Iduwe
Ghafona Iduwe is a Howard University Bison signee located in Washington D.C. He is a 2 year starter at Defensive End and 1st Team All District player in 2011. Ghafona also was voted both Most Valuable Defensive Lineman in 2011 and Most Valuable Defensive Player. He finished the 2011 season with 15 SACKS (2ND in the state) and was voted 2nd Team All-State.

 

 

Football – Sammy Jenkin

Sammy Jenkins is a Howard University Bison signee located in Washington, D.C. He is a 3 year Varsity offensive Guard, 2 as a starter and was a 2nd Team All-District in 2010 & 2011. Sammy was also voted as Outstanding Offensive Lineman in 2011. 


Football – Gary Lewis
Gary Lewis is a Southern Nazarene Crimson Storm signee located in Bethany, Oklahoma. Gary was a 2 year starter at Corner and 2nd Team All District player in 2010 & 2011.   He was voted Outstanding Defensive Back in 2011 and Most Valuable Defensive Player. Gary was also voted a 2011 Team Captain.

 

 

 

Football – Malcolm McKenne
Malcolm McKenney is a Midwestern State University Mustang signee located in Wichita Falls, Texas. He is a 2 year Varsity player at both Wide Receiver and Corner. He was 2011 starter at Corner where he earned 1st Team All District. He was also a 1st Team All District Wide Receiver in 2010.   Malcolm also was voted Most Valuable Defensive Back in 2011. He also competes on the Varsity Track team.
 
Football – Jeff Thomas
Jeff Thomas is a University of Colorado Buffalo signee located in Boulder, Colorado. Jeff was a 1st Team All District Receiver in 2010 & 2011. He was also voted Teams Most Valuable Wide Receiver.

 

Football – Montel Baree
Montel Baree will be attending Lon Morris College in Jacksonville, Texas. Montel was a 3 year varsity letterman and a 2 time honorable mention all-district selection in 2010 and 2011.

Girls’ Basketball – Empress Davenport
Empress is a three year letter person and has played AAU basketball for 5 years.   Her junior year she averaged 10.5 points, 2.6 steals, and 2.5 assists. She was the District 5 5-A Most Valuable player her junior year. And she made All District her junior, soph., and freshmen years. She has made Academic All District all 3 years. Empress is also in the top 10% of her class. Last year she helped the Duncanville Pantherettes to the semi Finals of Regional and a district championship. Her sophomore and freshmen year she also helped the team advance to the state playoffs. Empress Davenport signed with the University of Texas, on November 9, 2011 at 7:30 in the Sandra Meadow Memorial Arena at DHS.
Girls’ Basketball – Morgan Bolton
Morgan is a three year letter person.   Her junior year she averaged 6.1 points and 2.4 steals.  She was the District 5 5-A Defensive Player of the year and made All District. Her sophomore year she was Honorable Mention All-District 5 5-A. She has made Academic All District all 3 years. Last year she helped the Duncanville Pantherettes to the semi Finals of Regional. And her sophomore and freshmen year she also helped the Pantherettes advance to the state playoffs. Morgan is also in the top 10% of her class and is a member of NHS and DECA. Morgan Bolton signed with University of Arkansas, Little Rock, on November 9, 2011 at 6:00 in the Sandra Meadow Memorial Arena at DHS.

Girls’ Soccer – Aleria Luna
Aleria Luna will be a War Hawk at McMurry University in Abilene. She is a 4 year letterman as well as First Team All District Newcomer of the Year as a freshman, First Team all District and Most Valuable Offensive Player of the year her Junior year. She player club for almost 7 years and also with the Olympic Development Program.

 

    

 

Girls’ Soccer – Sienna Rebollozo
Sienna Rebollozo will be a Dragon at Minnesota State University-Moorehead. She lettered four years in soccer, two years in cross country, and one year in golf. She is a National Honor Society inductee 2010-2011, graduating with honors, Most Valuable Player of the Year 2010, Most Valuable Offensive Player 2011, First Team All District twice, and captain from 2010-2012.

 

 

 

Girls’ Soccer – Cynthia De La Rosa
Cynthia will be a Lady Pilot at LSU Shreveport. She is a 4 year starter at Duncanville High School, playing both midfield and defense… Named 2nd Team All District Freshmen year… 1st Team All District Utility Player Sophomore year… 2nd Team All District Junior year… She has played 6 years of club soccer with the Dallas Texans. She has been an A/B honor roll student since freshmen year and currently holds a 3.5 G.P.A.

 

Duncanville Cross Country

 

Girls’ Cross Country – Anna Salazar
Anna will be continuing to pursue her academic and athlete interest at Dallas Baptist University. She is the 4 year MVP for the girls cross country team at Duncanville High School, where she is also an accomplished track athlete in the mile and two mile… Anna began her cross country career at DHS as the 2008 District Champion her freshman year…. She has been a cross country regional qualifier all 4 years finishing 16th at the 2010 Region I Meet in Lubbock. As a track athlete Anna’s accomplishments include three regional appearances and the 2010 district champion title in both the mile and two mile run. Anna’s stand out performance is also seen in the classroom. She has competed at the district, state, and national level with Skills USA and serves as this year’s chapter President. Anna is currently in the TOP 10 percent of the class of 2012 with a 3.8 GPA.

 

                  

Duncanville Track and Field

 

Boys’ Track – Richard Gary

Richard Gary II will be attending Baylor University in Waco on a Track Scholarship. He is a three year letter winner with the Duncanville High School Track Team.  He is a Regional Champion and two-time State Qualifier in the 400m, and a State Qualifier in the 4 x 400m Relay.  He is also the School Record Holder in the 400m and 800m events. In the 2011 season he finished the year ranked 7th nationally in the 400m.  Last summer he was the Great Southwest Classic 400m Champion held in New Mexico.  He is currently ranked 2nd nationally in the HS Indoor 400m.
