Duncanville – Duncanville police arrested missing sex offender Roderick Goodson without incident this morning in the 700 block of Wood Lane in Duncanville.

Duncanville detectives had been watching possible locations where Goodson may have been hiding, saw him getting into his car and stopped him to make the arrest.

Goodson was found not to be living at his registered address in November of last year and two felony warrants and a parole violation warrant were issued.

Goodson was sentenced to seven years deferred adjudication probation late last year on two charges of sexual assault with a child involving 17 and 16 year-old girls in 2014.

As part of his probation Goodson was to not contact any other children other than his son and to remain stay at least 1,000 feet from any place where children might be.

It was reported that Goodson lied on an application to work as a volunteer basketball coach at Wilmer-Hutchins High School in December of last year. He also was accused of entering the girl’s locker room while at a tournament at South Oak Cliff High School. Goodson was recognized by someone participating in the tournament and alerted school officials. Goodson was confronted and asked to leave the school.

Goodson was taken to the Dallas County jail on outstanding warrants.
