Cynthia Mickens recently received an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity Degree from Grace International Seminary.
As community relations liaison at Methodist Charlton Medical Center, Mickens coordinates hospital events and partnerships between Methodist Charlton and members of the community, including schools, chambers of commerce, and churches.
Cynthia is well-known throughout the DFW area as a powerful speaker, life coach, and community leader.
Cynthia has endeavored for more than 20 years to be a community servant for the elderly, women and girls. She has volunteered countless hours helping others by serving as Founder and CEO Cynthia Mickens Ministries, Inc and Senior Pastor of Path~Way to Life Center of Hope Church. Cynthia currently serves on the board of Christ Arts Ministries, Hope Mansion, Leadership Dallas Class Representative and is a past board member and VP of Human Resources for Girls Incorporated of Metropolitan Dallas; board member for the American Heart Association; and the Women’s Council of Dallas, County.
Cynthia served as a member of the Dallas County Historical Commission and was appointed by State Representative Helen Giddings to the Small Face Insurance Advisory Committee for the state of Texas. Cynthia was the chair of the Park South YMCA Board of Management during the creation of its community sports field for children. Cynthia also served as the founding chair of the City of DeSoto Arts Commission. Additionally, Cynthia is a 1999 graduate of Leadership Dallas.
Her ministry focuses on assisting people with discovering the life they were created to live.
Her degree was conferred during a joint commencement exercise for Grace International Seminary and Trinity International Seminary.
