Methodist Charlton EMS Week features tribute to fallen EMS comrades

Methodist Charlton ended National EMS Week with a tribute to fallen EMS providers (paramedics and EMTs). The EDUCT (Ellis Dallas United Cooperative Team) bag pipes and drum corps played a beautiful rendition of “Amazing Grace,” and an EMS proclamation from the White House was read.

EMSawards were given to representatives of Dallas Fire and Rescue, DeSoto Fire and Rescue, Duncanville Fire and Rescue, the Lancaster Fire Department, Cedar Hill Fire Department, Ovilla Fire Department, Midlothian Fire Department, and East Texas Medical Center EMS.

A continued education class about STEMIs and heart failure followed the awards. Texas Ranger tickets were given away to EMS providers present.
