Men’s Golf Finishes Strong, Finishes in 2nd at 2013 Lions Classic

The Patriot Golf Team fired the team low score of 291 on Tuesday to conclude their 2013 Lions Classic efforts with a stellar second place finish, two shots back of the champion.  Sophomore Jamie Youree followed up his opening round 73 with an exceptional one-over par 71 at Hardscrabble Country Club on Tuesday.  Youree finished in third place overall and recorded his first top-three finish of the 2012-2013 season.

Junior Johnny Antle fired his lowest round on the season with a one-under par 69, the second best score of the day on Tuesday at Hardscrabble.  Antle finished the tournament tied for fourth place individually with a two-round total of 145.  “Very proud of the way our guys competed on Tuesday and very excited to see what they have in store these last few tournaments of the season,” shared Head Coach Kenny Trapp.

Senior Austin Struble recorded a final round 76, respectively, to finish in 19th place individually (154) and Senior Jeffrey Juillerat finished in 26th with his two-round total of 156 (79-77).  Freshman Kyle Beard rounded out efforts for the Patriots in 32nd place overall (84-75).

The Patriots will be back in action April 8-9 at Hackberry Country Club in Irving, Texas.
