Men’s Golf, Antle in 2nd at NDNU Argonaut Invitational

The Patriot Golf Team fired rounds of 299 and 294 on day one at Poppy Ridge Golf Club to find themselves in second place at the NDNU Argonaut Invitatiional in Livermore, California.  Led by Junior Johnny Antle, the Patriots will begin day two and round three only eleven shots back of the first place place team.  Antle recorded two consecutive, even-par 72’s on Monday and tabbed the Patriots’ individual low score by five strokes.

“I was very proud of the way our guys competed out there today.  Looking forward to Tuesday’s final round to see if we can put together one more solid round,” shared Head Golf Coach Kenny Trapp.  Senior Jeffrey Juillerat also performed exceptionally for the Patriots with his two-round 149 (74-75), respectively, which is currently tied for seventh individually.

Freshman Kyle Beard (78-73), Senior Austin Struble (78-74), and Sophomore Jamie Youree (75-78) rounded out the Patriots’ efforts on Monday as all Patriot golfers posted rounds in the 70’s.

The Patriots will be back in action on Tuesday, March 12, for the third and final round of the NDNU Argonaut Invitational in Livermore, California.
