Mary Lou Ham Barnard – March 31, 1933/August 26, 2012

Mary Lou Ham Barnard was born in Camilla, Texas on March 31, 1933 and passed away on August 26, 2012.

She grew up in Coldspring, Texas and graduated from Coldspring High School in 1951.  She was awarded the American Legion award and was pitcher for the high school softball team.  She moved to Houston and attended the University of Houston.  She worked at American General and met her future husband Earl Barnard and was married April 1, 1953.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Barnard, parents Joseph David Ham and Ione Lilley Ham, and sister Era Ham Phillips.  She is survived by her son, Dr. Jeffrey J. Barnard, daughter-in-law, Terry May Barnard, grandson ,Colin J. Barnard and granddaughter, Erin May McCann and husband, Kevin McCann.  Her greatest passion was her family and she will be dearly missed.

Graveside Service is 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Hayman Cemetery in Cold Spring, Texas.
