Local Wal-Mart Donates Items to Methodist Charlton Heart of the Community Challenge

Wal-Mart on Wheatland Road recently donated several prizes to help Methodist Charlton Medical Center Heart of the Community Challenge participants get moving to good health.

The generous donation included gift cards, healthy-eating cookbooks, exercise DVDs and mats, weights, and blood pressure machines.

Wal-Mart in now a partner of the Heart of the Community Challenge, joining the American Heart Association, Cedar Hill ISD and Chef Cassondra.

The Methodist Charlton Heart of the Community Challenge promotes heart disease education and prevention during a free 16-week program that encourages the entire family to have fun while improving their overall health.
