Local Election Results

With a light turnout for Saturday’s elections, little change was made in the makeup of both the city council and the school district’s board of trustees. The only changes were in those races where the incumbents were not running for reelection.

The turnout was about half of the total voters in the 2015 election in the same races.

Patrick LeBlanc was elected to the city council at-large position, while Dennis Schwartz, Leslie Thomas, who was running unopposed, and Johnette Jameson retained their seats.

On the board of trustees Renne McNealy was unopposed and Cassandra Phillips won the Place 5 seat.
