Lady Patriot Volleyball Wins Over St. Mary’s in Straight Sets, 3-0

The Lady Patriot Volleyball Team was victorious on Saturday afternoon as they defeated St. Mary’s University in straight sets to finish their Heartland Conference regular season with a 8-6 record.

A quick start to the match by DBU proved to be too much for St. Mary’s to handle as the Lady Patriots defeated the Lady Rattlers in three consecutive sets (25-20, 25-14, 25-22).  DBU was able to see success on the offensive side of the ball as they hit for a .267 average.

Sophomore Krystal Wunderlich and Junior Christina Steinkruger led DBU with 13 and 10 kills, respectively.  SeniorKaylyn Frink was solid on the defensive side of the ball as the defensive specialis recording a match high 18 digs.  Sophomores Tyler Bradsher, Camerson Hartson, and Krystal Wunderlich all recorded double digit digs in the win.

With the win, DBU completes the regular season with an overall record of 16-15.
