The Lady Patriot Golf Team nearly matched their opening round team score on day two as they fired a team 313 to remain in seventh place out of the 13 team NCAA DII Preview field.  Leading the way for the Lady Patriots is FreshmanSydney Williams who stands just one shot back of the individual tournament lead with her two day total of 146.

After carding an opening round 74, Williams recorded a stellar even par 72 on Monday at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Florida.  Williams will be chasing Florida Tech University’s Rachel Polson on Tuesday in round three for outright individual medalist honors.

“Very pleased by the way that Sydney is performing out there on this difficult golf course – great to see from her as freshman,” stated Head Coach Kenny Trapp.

Sophomore Erin Barrington improved by five shots from her first round score by posting a three-over par 75 on Monday.  Barrington is currently tied for 18th individually.  Junior Mercedes Rios is tied for 33rd after recording a round of 83 in round two.  Freshman Macie Seeker (80), Senior Courtney Burris (88), and Freshman Abbey Bradley (83) also contributed for the Lady Patriots on day two of the NCAA DII Preview at LPGA International.

The Lady Patriots will be back in action on Tuesday for round three of the tournament.  Results soon to follow conclusion of final round.
