The Lady Panthers traveled to Grand Prairie to take on the Lady Gophers on Tuesday evening and ran into a team that was on a roll.

Things started well for Duncanville, with runs scored by Sol Hernandez and Theresa Guse. Hernandez got on base when Grand Prairie shortstop Brittany Boyd lost the handle of a sharp hit grounder, and Guse drew a walk to get on base. They both advanced on a fly ball to center field by Valerie Gonzalez and a drive to right center by clean-up hitter Dallas Franklin.

But, Grand Prairie came back and scored six runs on five hit in the bottom of the first. From that point on, Duncanville was trying to mount a comeback, but the Lady Gophers were simply too strong at the plate.

For the game Grand Prairie gathered thirteen hits, including a grand slam by Kendall Henderson over the left field fence, to drive in fifteen runs for the game. The Lady Panthers were able to score two runs in the third inning and a run in the fourth.
